Under-Eye Fat Pads
Treating tired, hollow or puffy under-eyes — by filler to smooth a tear-trough hollow, or surgery to reposition or remove protruding fat pads.
What it is
Under-eye concerns are either hollowing (a shadowed tear trough) or puffiness (protruding fat pads), and sometimes both. Hollows are softened with carefully placed filler; true fat-pad protrusion is best corrected surgically via blepharoplasty.
Who it's for
- Dark, shadowed or hollow under-eyes
- Puffy lower-eyelid bags
- A persistently tired appearance despite rest
- Patients seeking either a non-surgical or surgical solution
The procedure
Filler treatment takes 30 minutes under topical numbing. Surgical fat-pad correction is a short day-care procedure under local anaesthesia.
Recovery & aftercare
Filler: a few days of possible bruising. Surgery: about a week of bruising and swelling.
